‘Bad Blood’ featuring Kendrick Lamar is a massive song with an even bigger video, featuring Cara Delevingne, Selena Gomez, Ellie Goulding, Karlie Kloss and plenty more.
We’re not sure what’s more impressive – the endless list of global stars or Taylor Swift’s ability to change hairstyles and costumes so many times. After endless teasers of the Sin City-esque clip, which features a host of Hollywood stars of past and present. Even Cindy Crawford and Mariska Hargitay make appearances.
References of Kill Bill and Tron are just a couple of the movie references in the ‘Bad Blood’ video which debuted at the weekend’s 2015 Billboard Music Awards.
Taylor has produced the video with director Joseph Khan – famous for his work with Britney Spears and Eminem amongst others. She shares the screen with Ellen Pompeo, Mariska Hargitay, Jessica Alba, Lena Dunham, Hailee Steinfeld, Paramore’s Hayley Williams, Gigi Hadid, Zendaya and Lily Aldridge.
Strength to strength
‘Bad Blood’ is the fourth single taken from her album 1989, following the smash hit ‘Shake It Off’, as well as ‘Blank Space’ and ‘Style’ in recent months which Luxe Models love. At the Billboard awards, Swift dominated most of the major categories, winning 8 awards including the public-voted Billboard Chart Achievement award.
Not a bad night for the 25-year-old who posted a photo to Instagram with her awards and the caption, “Last night was a dream sequence. I never forget that you’re the reason my life is like this. Thank you for all of it.”
Taylor won the Top Artist, Top Female Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist and four other awards, and is renowned for her personable approach to her fans, often sending presents and exchanging messages online to her hard core fan base. She dedicated her awards on the night to “all the girls I talk to on the internet and we talk about your feelings and you teach me your teen slang”.
Whilst collecting the award for the Billboard Chart Achievement, she added: “Honestly, the fans – I’m obsessed with you. You guys are the reason this year has happened the way that it’s happened.”
Sam Smith, Pharrell Williams and Iggy Azalea won three awards each, but that’s as close that anyone came to Taylor who really is having a great 2015.
Sam Smith was unable to attend the evening and is saving his voice after vocal surgery, so he delivered an acceptance speech on written cue cards.
He said: “Can’t wait to get this surgery out of the way so I can sing my ass off for you again”.
Luxe Models reckon Sam would have looked great in ‘Bad Blood’ if it weren’t for that pesky voice absence.
