After worldwide success, number 1 albums, sell out stadium tours and one of the most well received comebacks in pop history, UK’s most celebrated boy band Take That are now but three.
Jason Leaves the Band
After stints with and without Robbie, for the most part Take That have been a quartet, at least since their comeback in 2005. But with a new album in the works, news has surfaced that longstanding member Jason Orange will be leaving the band.
Revealed via the group’s official website, Jason shed some light on the news: “There have been no fallings out, only a decision on my part that I no longer wish to do this … They have my full support and encouragement to continue on with what is to be another chapter for the band.”
Take That: The Trio
The three remaining members, Mark, Gary and Howard followed the announcement with a heartfelt message thanking Jason for the good times:
“Jason’s energy and belief in what this band could achieve has made it what it is today, and we’ll forever be grateful for his enthusiasm, dedication and inspiration over the years.”
Having seen 11 number one singles over the years, Take That are one of most successful groups in British pop history. So it’s no doubt that the loss of Jason will come as a shock to many of their adoring fans. But, with Gary, Mark and Howard still at the helm, there still may be life in the old girl yet. But only time will tell.
An album in the works, here at Luxe Models we’re very interested to see what the new three-piece will come up with, and whether that old Take That chemistry will still be there. We’ll just sit here patiently and wait.
